Vascular Technologist Trainee Position

The Vascular Care Group is a prominent healthcare organization dedicated to outpatient vascular services. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional patient care through advanced technology and empathetic service. We are in search of enthusiastic individuals who are eager to embark on a career as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). Our program includes comprehensive clinical training in vascular ultrasound, with the potential for a full-time position upon successful completion of the RVT Exam.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in continuous training and educational initiatives to improve skills and knowledge.
- Prepare examination rooms and ultrasound equipment for sonography procedures, adhering to protocols for infection control, sterilization, and patient safety.
- Assist in conducting patient assessments under the guidance of our vascular ultrasound technicians and support the execution of diagnostic sonography examinations as directed by the supervising physician.
- Apply professional judgment and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic sonography procedures.
- Utilize independent judgment during examinations to ensure accurate capture of anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions in imaging.
- Document any limitations encountered during the sonography examination.
- Learn to review examination images, synthesize results, and prepare preliminary reports for healthcare providers.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure ultrasound equipment functions optimally and manage preventive maintenance for the equipment.
- Support the daily operations of the sonography facility.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an ultrasound or formal training program.
- Aiming to complete the RVT exam.
- Demonstrated interest in Vascular and Vascular Sonography.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to adhere to precise instructions.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Completion of relevant coursework in anatomy, physiology, or medical imaging is beneficial.
