About the Role

This position is part of the Clinical team at Kansas Employer, responsible for arranging patients for radiological examinations and producing high-quality radiographs to aid in medical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain the diagnostic process and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Operate radiology equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by physicians.
  • Review and evaluate images to determine their suitability for diagnostic purposes before sending them to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of technical skills required in radiologic procedures, ensuring radiation safety and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Manipulate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality images and possess the ability to lift, move, or transport patients as needed.
  • Perform related duties of a Medical Assistant, including vital sign measurements, routine venipuncture, and specimen collection for in-house and send-out testing.
  • Support all providers in patient care, ensuring accurate documentation and billing compliance.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with referring agencies and other providers.
  • Attend and successfully complete required training programs, participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, and maintain licensure and certification as required.
Requirements
  • Must possess a strong understanding of radiologic procedures and radiation safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift, move, or transport patients as needed, and possess the physical stamina to perform duties in a clinical setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
