Key Responsibilities- Monitor Patient Telemetry Systems: Observe and report any abnormal responses promptly, ensuring timely intervention and optimal patient outcomes.
- Admit and Discharge Patients: Safely and efficiently admit and discharge patients from the telemetry monitoring system, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless transitions.
- Run Rhythm Strips: Perform rhythm strips as per protocol, utilizing advanced technology to diagnose and treat cardiac conditions.
- Ensure System Functionality: Verify the accurate functioning of patient telemetry monitoring systems, including battery life, rhythm clarity, and transmitter safety.
- Meet Physical Demands: Lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 10 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day, demonstrating physical stamina and adaptability.
- Deliver Patient-Centered Care: Identify patient needs and modify care to meet those needs, communicating effectively with patients, families, and caregivers at their level of understanding.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of experience in a health-related field, and 1 year of experience in cardiology or a related field.
- Training and Certification: Successful completion of a monitor technician course at a hospital facility and passing score on the Hackensack Meridian Health monitor technician arrhythmia exam.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computers and exposure to related software and systems.
