Blue Origin is a pioneer in space technology, and we are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing and executing commercial quality processes for the design, test, and manufacture of engines. As part of our diverse and hardworking team, you will be responsible for implementing quality initiatives that support development and low-rate engine production.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain quality system processes that support products in development and production environments.
  • Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals.
  • Review and approve manufacturing build documents, including work orders and nonconformance records.
  • Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs.

Salary: $64,020 - $89,628 per year

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 1-3 years of relevant quality or engineering experience.
  • Quality experience in production environments, preferably in aerospace or military/aviation industries.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality management systems and related quality programs.
  • Experience using CMM, Blue Light Scan Data, Solidworks, or other CAD packages.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
