Job Summary

Innovative Renal Care (IRC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Home Dialysis Nurse - Peritoneal Dialysis Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for educating patients on the benefits of home dialysis, training them on their chosen modality, and collaborating with nephrologists to develop personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Educate patients on the comfort and freedom of home dialysis, and train them on their chosen modality, including peritoneal dialysis.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with nephrologists to develop treatment plans that best meet the needs of each patient.
  • Workshops and Education: Conduct educational workshops to keep the team up-to-date on the latest technologies and evidence-based practices.
  • Patient Care: Follow patients' conditions and lab results to ensure the safety and success of their chosen modality.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support to patients when the office is closed, with the assistance of an answering service.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure.
  • Experience: 12 months of experience in nursing, with an additional 3 months of experience with peritoneal dialysis.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License, Current CPR certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Skills: Ability to reach and interpret documents, speak effectively with clients and colleagues, and make a positive impact on patients' and their families' lives.
