Solar Project Engineer

Job Summary:
AEMP USA LLC is seeking a skilled Solar Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering support team, you will be responsible for providing foundation design and installation services for utility scale solar projects.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil, structural or mechanical engineering or computer sciences, with experience in AutoCad and survey equipment. A strong understanding of technical aspects of machines and equipment used in field projects is essential. You will work closely with clients to determine their needs and communicate complex issues effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for foundation design and installation
- Conduct research and studies on site
- Manage field activities and implement engineering designs
- Diagnose construction or machinery problems
- Resolve malfunctions or crises when they arise
- Oversee repairs and technical improvements
- Install new systems and technology
- Inspect and test material and machinery for safety
- Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
- Supervise and direct onsite crew (e.g. technicians)
- Draft and submit reports
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a field engineer or similar role
- Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including machinery and equipment
- Understanding of safety guidelines
- Attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
- An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to work in adverse weather and occasional overtime and weekends
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar field preferred or relevant work experience.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, paid bi-weekly, 40-50 hours work per week, Monday through Saturday, with an opportunity to work 60 hours per week based on performance and contingent on good weather. Travel required to job sites in other states, weekly per diem paid. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand and work on feet for shift, walk extensively throughout the day around job site. Steel toe boots and hard hat required, all other safety equipment provided. Must have reliable transportation, employees responsible for own transportation to project site each day. Must speak and write English proficiently, must have HS diploma, preferred college degree. OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
