Job Summary:

Medpace is seeking a highly skilled Credit and Risk Manager to join our Commercial Operations team. This role is responsible for monitoring the credit exposure of our portfolio in relation to Company policies and guidelines. This includes developing analytics to assist in the identification and evaluation of all risks related to customer financials, working with Account Management and Treasury to obtain additional customer insight, and communicating credit exposure results to Executive management on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate technical expertise in the area of credit risk.
  • Customer Credit Risk Evaluation: Provide direct support within the Account Management group in the evaluation and analysis of all customer credit risk.
  • Credit Information Review: Reviews credit information and makes decisions related to credit limits and credit holds for existing customers while balancing business risk.
  • Portfolio Analysis: Analyze portfolio level information to identify and monitor key risk factors and develop proposed solutions. Escalates highest risk customers to Executive management.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis of customer portfolios as necessary.
  • Customer Credit Analysis: Report and analyze characteristics of the Customer Credit in relation to policies, guidelines and processes.
  • Collaboration: Establish close working relationships with the Account Management and Treasury functions, while maintaining independence/objectivity.
  • Model Development: Develop and/or evaluate various models used for setting credit ratings/scores.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to access and query a multitude of databases and create and maintain data sets as appropriate.
  • Policy Improvement: Identify and communicate potential policy and or operational improvements that will enhance credit quality.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related field; MBA/CFA/CPA is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of credit/risk experience with a minimum of 5 years overall professional experience.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience in managing projects; excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Management Experience: Prior management experience preferred.
