Equipment Operations Specialist

As an Equipment Operations Specialist, your role will involve a variety of hands-on tasks to facilitate efficient branch operations. Your main focus will be to assist service technicians, sales personnel, and other branch staff in fulfilling customer requirements.

Success in this dynamic and fulfilling position can lead to advancement into our Driver and Service Technician training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess returned equipment for any damage, usage hours, mileage, and fuel levels.
  • Verify rental equipment for safety labels, compliance, and ensure operational readiness.
  • Clean all equipment and maintain an orderly workspace.
  • Load and unload rental equipment, preparing it for customer use.
  • Provide equipment demonstrations for customers and operate a delivery vehicle for equipment pick-up and drop-off.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to safety protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs regularly.

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies.
