Position Title: Sales Associate

Role Summary:

The Sales Associate serves as the initial point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment. This role involves accurately processing transactions and collaborating with team members to enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver professional and friendly service to all customers, both in-store and over the phone.
  2. Ensure timely placement of merchandise on the sales floor.
  3. Accurately handle transactions at the point of sale.
  4. Exhibit strong cash handling skills, including making change and operating the cash register.
  5. Maintain a thorough understanding of merchandise to assist customers effectively.
  6. Keep the sales floor organized and assist customers with their selections.
  7. Uphold a clean and professional appearance at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a tidy and organized register area.
  2. Familiarize yourself with store security protocols and adhere to them as necessary.
  3. Perform general cleaning duties to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
  4. Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
  2. Basic math skills for handling transactions.
  3. Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  4. Ability to resolve customer complaints effectively.
  5. Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift items as needed.
  6. Basic computer skills and familiarity with internet applications.
  7. Previous retail experience is preferred.

Physical and Work Environment:

This role may involve moderate physical demands, including lifting and carrying items. The work environment may occasionally expose employees to varying atmospheric conditions.
