**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Accurately operate the point-of-sale system and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain and stock merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment.
  • Assist customers and donors in a friendly and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Sort, categorize, price, and distribute all donated and purchased goods, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive store environment, adhering to Goodwill's high standards for cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the store management team with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the sales floor, processing transactions, and maintaining store security.

**Requirements:**

  • Ability to operate electronic cash registers, credit card draft capture terminals, and other point-of-sale equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, donors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, reach 6 feet, and stand for prolonged periods, with sufficient mobility to work assigned schedules.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior customer service experience preferred.
