Job Summary

Heartland Family Service is seeking a skilled Therapist I to join our team in a residential-based crisis stabilization service. As a Therapist I, you will work with a diverse population of clients with co-occurring disorders, utilizing evidenced-based practices to provide therapeutic services. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct adult mental health assessments and develop individualized stabilization plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practice models
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including client stabilization plans and therapy notes
  • Collaborate with team members and client family members to provide support and consultation
  • Refer clients to other Heartland Family Service programs and community services as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy
  • Iowa licensure (T-LMHC, LMHC, LMSW, or LISW)
  • Two years of experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
