Position Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee high-quality product delivery.
  • Reduce defects and minimize rejections.

  • Conduct Startup Inspections.
  • Ensure the production line is clear from prior operations and aligns with the work order for upcoming items.
  • Evaluate product quality at startup to confirm compliance with all in-process inspection criteria.
  • Monitor and calibrate colorant feeder settings during production.
  • Perform frequent in-process and final product inspections.
  • Identify and rectify defects using established guidelines.
  • Manage non-conforming products according to established processes.
  • Utilize root cause analysis to pinpoint and resolve issues.
  • Train all production staff in quality control protocols and standards.
  • Provide ongoing training and refresher courses as necessary.
  • Conduct training for new members based on quality guidelines.
  • Execute regular internal audits of operations to discover areas for enhancement.
  • Periodically review and update the QC plan to reflect changes in materials, processes, or regulations.
  • Conduct line clear audits.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality control activities, including material inspections, calibrations, process control data, and inspection outcomes.
  • Create systematic documentation and traceability for materials and products.
  • Document any deviations from quality standards and the corrective actions taken.
  • Retain records for a minimum of two years.
  • Develop standardized work instructions and procedures.
  • Document all quality-related activities and ensure accessibility for employees.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback.
  • Leverage feedback to drive product enhancements and meet customer expectations.
  • Continuously improve the quality control program to adapt to evolving needs.
  • Maintain open communication channels for addressing quality-related concerns within the organization.
  • Regularly report key quality performance metrics to management.
  • Utilize data to inform business decisions and evaluate program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant technical certification in quality control is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
  • Bilingual; proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection processes.
  • Ability to use or willingness to learn measuring and testing equipment such as scales, spectrophotometers, calipers, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying inspection results and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared quality objectives.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and quality standards is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
