Election Supervisor for Early Voting

Position Overview:
This is a seasonal, call-in role designed to support the electoral process during the State Mandated Nine Days of Early Voting for State and Federal Elections. As an Election Supervisor, you will play a vital role in assisting voters at the designated voting site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the voting process and assist voters with inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with election laws and regulations.
- Work up to 10 hours per day during the early voting period.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old (work permit required for ages 16-17).
- Must be a registered voter in Michigan if 18 years or older; residents aged 16-17 must be Michigan residents.
- Reliable transportation is necessary for job duties.

Special Requirements:
- No felony or election-related convictions.
- Must not be an election challenger, candidate, or immediate family member of a candidate.
- Political party affiliation is required; independent or unaffiliated status is not permitted.
- Completion of an election inspector application and training is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an election inspector is advantageous.

Physical Demands:
- The role may involve sedentary work with occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 35 pounds.

Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based, with travel to early voting sites as needed.

Evaluation Process:
- Candidates may undergo a post-offer criminal background check.
- Employment offers are contingent upon the results of this check.
