Job Summary

As a Certified Medical Assistant in Orthopedics, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient examinations, treatments, and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
  • Interview patients, take vital signs, and record information on patient charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and scheduling patients.
  • Assist with ordering and stocking supplies, and perform basic materials management functions.
  • Document patient encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or 10 years of work experience.
  • No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and one of the following certifications: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant Certification (MAC), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from a recognized certifying organization.
