Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Expertise & Collaboration

  • Act as the primary clinical expert for VITL, engaging in client discussions, project development, and service launch meetings.
  • Advocate for the integration of health information exchange to improve patient care and streamline provider workflows.
  • Research and develop innovative strategies to facilitate the adoption of VITL's services among clinicians and healthcare organizations.

Content Creation and Outreach

  • Generate new educational strategies and refine existing communication methods aimed at current and prospective users of VITL's services.
  • Strategically plan and execute a Clinical Education Roadmap, encompassing webinars, presentations, and training sessions.
  • Oversee the design and production of educational materials that effectively communicate the value of VITL's services from a clinical perspective.
  • Review and approve educational content prior to distribution, ensuring alignment with clinician needs and expectations.

Training and Development

  • Create educational policies and standardize training materials for VITL staff and Engagement Team members.
  • Assess and develop training programs tailored to the needs of diverse clinical environments, enhancing understanding and use of VITL's services.
  • Inspire and educate clinical users on VITL's offerings, demonstrating the impact on patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
  • Serve as a primary resource for clinical end users regarding VITL services and health data sharing.
  • Travel to healthcare facilities to provide training, gather feedback, and evaluate service implementation.
  • Establish a strategy for continuing education credits related to VITL's training programs.
  • Deliver presentations at industry conferences to promote service adoption.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to support effective training initiatives across client organizations.

User Engagement and Satisfaction

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Support Team to monitor user engagement and satisfaction with VITL services.
  • Develop methods to better understand provider needs and satisfaction, utilizing surveys and focus groups to gather insights.

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with the Director of Client Engagement and other teams to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Lead the educational components of projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Support organizational initiatives aimed at process improvement.
  • Manage special projects related to clinical service implementation.

Independence and Accountability:

The Clinical Education Specialist is expected to operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating leadership in alignment with VITL's strategic goals.

Collaboration:

This role involves extensive collaboration with VITL staff, leadership, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications:

Education: Clinical degree or relevant license required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years in healthcare settings, including hospitals and clinics.
  • Leadership experience in program oversight preferred.
  • Experience in training healthcare professionals strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement and reporting desirable.

Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to influence and engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Travel Requirements:
