Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Intermountain Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care while utilizing cutting-edge imaging technologies. Your expertise in ultrasound and diagnostic imaging will enable you to work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure proper patient identification and verification of orders
- Prepare patients for exams and use proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams
- Demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department and complete and annotate medically acceptable exams following ACR guidelines
- Follow appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur, and maintaining a current QC program for ACR
- Exhibit good safety practices in body substance protection, cleaning of equipment, using proper sterile techniques, and removing any expired materials
- ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry with successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics
- Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
- Ultrasound experience preferred
