Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Platte Valley Hospital. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including ultrasound, to provide high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper patient identification and verification of orders
  • Prepare patients for exams and use proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams
  • Demonstrate proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department
  • Complete and annotate medically acceptable exams, following ACR guidelines, while producing the maximum diagnostic information in a minimal amount of time
  • Follow appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur, for quality, maintaining a current QC program for ACR and reporting any equipment failures or problems
Requirements
  • ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry, with successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
  • Ultrasound experience preferred
Work Environment

This position requires frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, as well as manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will also be expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and navigate crowded and busy rooms.
