Highmark Health is seeking a skilled Certified Anesthesia Provider to join our team. As a key member of our anesthesia care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients in the surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, evaluate, and implement anesthetic management for all patients presenting for anesthesia care.
Provide accurate medical record documentation and continuous observation of patients under anesthetic care, correcting abnormal patient responses as needed.
Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and implement plans of care, and participate in clinical decision-making regarding issues outside the CRNA's knowledge base or scope of practice.
Participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives, adhering to legal and ethical standards of nursing and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Act as a clinical resource to the interdisciplinary healthcare team, serving as a mentor to new staff or students as needed.
Requirements:
Current PA RN license
Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous CRNA experience
