Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Aide to join our team at Amedisys Inc. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care and support to individuals in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for patients.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist with light homemaking and other environmental services.
  • Observe and report any changes in patient status, including changes in body functions.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations, and implement appropriate procedures.
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures, and handle hazardous waste and safety measures.
  • Assist patients with prescribed exercises, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant.
  • CNA experience within the last two years.
  • Ability to successfully pass the competency program of the care center.
  • Current CPR certification.
