Position Overview
The Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operations Officer for the VNA of Care New England is tasked with ensuring the seamless, effective, and efficient functioning of the VNA. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality services that are financially viable, compliant with regulatory standards, and responsive to the needs of patients, their families, healthcare providers, the community, and staff.
Public Representation
This position serves as the public face of Care New England, engaging with community stakeholders, health service organizations, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Foster Collaboration**: Cultivate and enhance effective partnerships with VNA staff, Care New England Systems, physicians, and leadership.
2. **Integrated Service Delivery**: Ensure a cohesive approach to service provision that aligns with the VNA's operational philosophy, mission, and core values.
3. **Policy Oversight**: Direct the formulation and management of policies and procedures to guarantee adherence to necessary regulatory standards and system requirements.
4. **Strategic Planning**: Contribute to the development of the VNA's strategic plan, setting both short-term and long-term objectives to support ongoing growth and community service delivery.
5. **Implementation of Plans**: Execute approved plans and programs in alignment with organizational goals.
6. **Clinical Coordination**: Ensure that the clinical needs of patients in the Operating Units are met through effective collaboration with VNA staff and physicians.
7. **Resource Management**: Collaborate with the Kent Hospital President & CEO to optimize costs, enhance revenue, achieve operational integration, and deliver quality care to patients and their families.
8. **Performance Accountability**: Maintain a disciplined framework of goals, expectations, and performance metrics that drive and reward employee performance.
9. **Business Development**: Innovate new business strategies to increase market share and enhance overall performance.
10. **Committee Participation**: Attend and engage in key committee meetings as required.
Qualifications
• Strong leadership capabilities and influence.
• Advanced persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of the current healthcare landscape.
• Proficient problem-solving and financial acumen.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Educational Requirement: A Master’s degree with a minimum of ten years of experience in a leadership role within healthcare administration, showcasing exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
