Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop, evaluate, and revise the plan of care to meet the patient's needs and goals.
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, including education and support.
  • Facilitate discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
