Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Production Teams: Manage employees in various departments, supervising groups of 20-60 UAW workers.
  • Compliance and Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with local and national labor agreements, implement divisional and corporate policies.
  • Safety and Quality Standards: Maintain safety and housekeeping standards, and ensure that production meets quality requirements.
  • Training and Development: Train, develop, and evaluate employees, and keep management updated on developments.
  • Departmental Records: Maintain department records, and ensure effective use of personnel, material, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Shift Supervision: Experience in shift supervision, including managing teams and ensuring production schedules are met.
  • Compliance and Policy: Knowledge of labor agreements, and ability to implement policies and procedures.
  • Safety and Quality: Experience in maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Training and Development: Ability to train and develop employees, and evaluate their performance.
  • Departmental Records: Experience in maintaining departmental records, and ensuring effective use of resources.
Working Environment

The production environment is fast-paced and can be stressful, requiring a high sense of urgency. The plant operates two shifts, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work. The dress code is business casual.
