Lecturer in World Arts and Cultures

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance is seeking a pool of candidates to teach courses in all areas of the department. As a lecturer, you will have the opportunity to teach lower division, upper division, or graduate students during the academic year, as needed and dependent upon funding.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach courses in cultural studies, performance studies, folklore, material culture studies, popular culture studies, critical theory, ethnography, and research methodology. * Teach dance technique, choreography, dance studies, production design, and videography. * Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental goals and objectives. * Evaluate student learning and provide feedback. * Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to departmental decision-making.
Qualifications
* Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. * Extensive professional experience in performance, choreography, or teaching. * Five years of university-level teaching experience preferred. * Ability to teach in multiple areas of the department. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
