Position Title: Business Office Manager
Reporting To: Administrator
I. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Office Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and management of the Business Office in compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as facility policies.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Human Resources Management
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff, ensuring all necessary checks and verifications are completed.
- Maintain organized and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate payroll processing and manage employee benefits, including health and retirement plans.
B. Reception Oversight
- Direct the reception team, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to professional standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training as necessary.
C. Financial Services Administration
- Manage resident financial accounts, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with financial regulations.
- Facilitate the collection of accounts receivable and assist with Medicaid applications.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred, with relevant coursework in business management or human resources.
B. Experience: A minimum of three years in a similar role within the healthcare sector is preferred.
C. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software is essential. Strong communication skills are required to interact effectively with staff, residents, and families.
IV. PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to navigate the workplace and manage the demands of the position.
- Capacity to maintain composure in stressful situations and interact compassionately with individuals in various emotional states.
V. ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the Administrator to support the overall operations of the facility.
