About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Space Suit Project Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge spacesuit systems for NASA's deep space exploration missions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project engineering functions for EVA spacesuit design, development, procurement, manufacture, test, and certification.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for assigned tests, including test plans, hazard analyses, test procedures, and Test Readiness Review documentation.
  • Design and execute tests, identifying instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Collaborate with NASA test facilities to coordinate test activities and requirements.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues within spacesuit hardware, development test articles, or test support hardware.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2-5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate support from various technical disciplines.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings, material selection, and component-level testing.

Prior experience as a project engineer or test engineer is highly desirable. Knowledge of NASA test processes and electro-mechanical hardware elements is also a plus.
