Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our team at Monadnock Regional School District. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining attractive facilities, performing custodial duties, and overall building and grounds maintenance and repair.

• Maintain facilities and grounds to ensure a clean and safe learning and working environment
• Perform ongoing facility maintenance, including stripping and finishing floors, carpet care, moving furniture, and painting
• Clean assigned facilities and/or grounds, including classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, and grounds
• Replenish supplies, including paper towels, soaps, and other essential items
• Provide maintenance and minor repairs, including fixing equipment and furniture
• Collect and dispose of waste, including snow removal and maintaining outside sidewalks
• Assist in keeping outside premises in orderly condition
• Perform minor, job-related maintenance on building and grounds equipment, classroom furniture, and facilities
• Maintain athletic fields and all district-owned properties
• Prepare sites for daily operations, including setting up and taking down tables and chairs for classes and programs
• Attend department staff meetings, in-service training, workshops, and other events to stay up-to-date on job functions and best practices
• Secure facilities and grounds, including doors, gates, alarms, lights, and other security measures
• Support other staff members to complete site activities
• Maintain professional relations with coworkers, building staff, students, and the public

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and schedules
• Physical ability to perform light to moderately heavy physical activity

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
