Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services under the supervision of the Director of Medical Physics, ensuring timely, safe, and accurate patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day clinical services, including machine QA and calibration, treatment planning, and radiation safety.
  • Develop and implement complex treatment plans, including 3DCRT, IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, MRI-Linac, and adaptive therapy.
  • Perform and verify accuracy of treatment calculations, assess in-vivo dosage, and record results.
  • Develop and accurately document new procedures and protocols to ensure quality care and patient safety.
  • Perform and record physics quality control and quality assurance processes.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in medical physics or equivalent, with 0-7 years of experience.
  • Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification or equivalent, either completed or in process.
  • Clinical and developmental research projects, as well as teaching expertise, are required.
