About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director to lead our veterinary team in providing exceptional care to our patients while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

This critical role will impact the organization by contributing to the growth of a productive practice while maintaining a high-quality standard of care.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to our veterinarians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Team Management: Supervise and develop a team of veterinarians, ensuring a cohesive and well-trained group that provides excellent care and communication.
  • Practice Operations: Collaborate with our Hospital Office Manager to drive hospital performance, monitor client concerns, and address reportable incidents in a timely manner.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Petco Veterinary SOPs, state practice act requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of clinical veterinary experience, with a focus on leadership and mentoring.
  • Licensure: Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $126,880 - $202,800 per year, depending on location and experience.
