Position Summary

The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen environment. This position involves washing and sanitizing all food service items, including plates, utensils, and cookware, while also assisting in keeping the back of house area tidy. Additional cleaning responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.


Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently operate the dishwashing machine and utilize cleaning supplies
  • Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and dry all kitchen items as directed by management
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Safely use and operate all necessary kitchen tools and equipment
  • Communicate effectively to follow job requirements as outlined
  • Manage multiple tasks calmly in a fast-paced environment
  • Work in confined spaces with varying noise and temperature levels
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift, navigating safely through the restaurant

Essential Functions
  • Maintain a steady workflow to prevent a backlog of dirty dishes
  • Return and restock all cleaned items to their designated areas
  • Monitor and maintain dishwashing equipment, reporting any issues
  • Identify and request cleaning supplies when inventory is low
  • Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness in the kitchen and restrooms
  • Manage waste disposal and keep garbage areas organized
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols
  • Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Foster a collaborative and friendly work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
