Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Lancaster, PA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for administering respiratory care services to patients in accordance with department policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer physician-prescribed treatment/testing to patients in all clinical areas, including therapeutic gases, aerosol and humidity therapy, positive pressure breathing treatment, and airway care.
  • Perform physician-ordered arterial blood sample collection and analysis on an arterial blood gas analyzer.
  • Establish, monitor, and adjust ventilator management of critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
  • Provide complete and accurate documentation of performed services according to department policies.
Requirements:
  • CPR certification
  • Certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (or hold a temporary permit) by the PA State Board of Medicine
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy Program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of neonatal intensive care experience
  • One year of arterial gas punctures
  • One year of ventilator management
  • Registry through NBRC
