About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Systems Designer to join our team at HGA. As a key member of our Building Technologies department, you will be responsible for leading the design scope on projects, working closely with clients to understand their technology needs, and developing innovative solutions to enhance their businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead meetings with client leadership and stakeholders to discuss project goals, concepts, budgets, and design details
  • Strategize with internal and external teams to develop current and future technology solutions for application to our clients' organizations
  • Work with internal and external teams to develop and implement decision-making processes and build consensus around project-related decisions
  • Clearly and concisely communicate technology concepts to technical and non-technical clientele
  • Plan and guide site survey activities to document existing building technology systems
  • Lead internal and external teams in technology visioning sessions to introduce new technologies into client organizations and create technology-focused roadmaps for long-term implementation
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable design and engineering fields
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of Low Voltage Systems, including Telecommunications Infrastructure
  • BICSI RCDD Certification
  • Willingness to seek and obtain new certifications as needed to perform the role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering license (PE)
  • Manufacturer certifications in relevant design capabilities and systems/product understanding
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and other applicable BIM-related tools and software
