Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Science Show Presenter to join our team at Mad Science. As a Science Show Presenter, you will be responsible for delivering interactive and educational science presentations to children aged 4-12 at schools, libraries, camps, and other venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging science presentations that cater to different age groups and learning styles
  • Interact with children and adults in a professional and enthusiastic manner
  • Conduct science experiments and demonstrations that are safe and effective
  • Manage logistics and scheduling for presentations, including transportation and equipment setup
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement new science programs and materials
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekdays and weekends
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children in a educational or entertainment setting
  • Knowledge of basic science concepts and principles
  • Ability to think creatively and develop new science programs and materials
Compensation and Benefits

Our Science Show Presenters are compensated at a rate of $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
