Job Summary:

Control Point Associates is seeking an experienced and skilled Field Surveying Manager to join our team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of field surveying, including construction stakeout, topographical surveys, preliminary boundary analysis, and as-built surveys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carefully and diligently perform all phases of field surveying, utilizing tools such as Trimble/Leica/Spectre robotic total stations, data collectors, auto-levels, GPS RTK Units, wireless communications, and 3D Laser Scanners.
  • Conduct field calculations and sketches, ensuring accuracy of all survey documents.
  • Maintain and take care of all company equipment and vehicles, ensuring setup is in a secure environment with proper safety precautions in place.
  • Self-organize and motivate when working alone, and supervise and motivate instrument operators when assigned.
  • Positively represent the brand, communicating professionally and regularly with customers on site.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful, reliable surveying experience in a managerial role.
  • High School Diploma and strong math and computer skills.
  • The ability and desire to expand your skillsets and adapt to new technologies.
  • Highly proficient field coding for field to finish auto linework.
  • Ability to complete additional certificates, such as OSHA (10, 30, 40, etc.), Hazwoper, TWIC, etc.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and travel with overnight stays if required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8+ hours a day.
