About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, obtaining medical histories, and preparing patients for exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including routine musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic imaging.
  • Obtain medical histories from patients and compare requisitions to physician orders to ensure accurate exam procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of a Radiologist.
  • Position patients and select proper scanning factors to attain high-quality images.
  • Post-process images as directed and accurately identify and label images with patient information.
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Identify equipment performance issues and perform quality assurance tests and calibration procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registration and certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 2 years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
