As a key member of the NCCHCA team, you will support the financial and operational areas within the organization.

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant at NCCHCA works under the supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations and is responsible for supporting the financial and operational areas within the organization. This position serves as an internal resource for NCCHCA and its related business ventures.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reviews, prepares, and processes accounts payable checks on a weekly basis, or as needed, ensuring accurate verification of invoices and coding of accounts payable entries.
  • Reconciles payments and monitors accounts to ensure all payments are current, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintains account payable files for all supporting work, programs, and vendors, preparing necessary 1099s at year-end.
  • Reviews employee travel expenses for compliance, including charges applied to the corporate credit card, on a monthly basis.
  • Assists the DFO with the monthly and year-end closings process, including preparation of the annual audit.
  • Prints and distributes financial statements to staff, ensuring timely access to critical information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred; or associate degree in accounting with at least ten years of experience.
  • Two to four years' experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, is essential.
  • Understanding of accounting system software, preferably SAGE/Abila, fund accounting software, is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to multitask and manage work efficiently is essential.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000-$65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
