Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Trainer to join our team at Equinox in Berkeley, CA. As a Personal Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fitness services to our members, including administering fitness evaluations, orientations, and personal training sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer fitness evaluations, orientations, and personal training sessions to members
  • Establish and maintain a personal training client base according to company standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and potential members
  • Maintain knowledge and participation in all club services, programs, and products
  • Update and maintain the Personal Training App
  • Instruct and demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise techniques
  • Adjust and operate all fitness equipment
  • Attend Personal Training related meetings
Requirements
  • Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification
  • Reimbursement opportunities for non-PT certified applicants
  • CPR/AED certification
  • 1-3 years of previous Personal Training experience (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess honesty and personal integrity
  • Possess passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding the fitness industry
  • Excel in time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
Essential Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position, including standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
