About the Role

As a Diesel Mechanic at National Express LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance Department and Technicians, including vehicle washing, cleaning, fueling, and facility maintenance and repair.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, identifying and reporting any unsafe practices or conditions to your supervisor.
  • Record time and materials used for each assignment, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Assist technical staff with automotive repairs and maintenance as assigned.
  • Advise the Lead Technician of any unsafe maintenance conditions or practices, as well as vehicle abuse.
  • Exhibit the highest level of personal integrity and ethics, reporting any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to your supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in truck or automotive repair.
  • Minimum recommended hand tools for a Class III Mechanic.
  • High school graduate or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Ideal candidates will have previous fleet experience and a strong understanding of diesel and gasoline systems.
