Job Title: Flagger 1

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Flagger 1 to join our team at NTI Connect LLC. As a Flagger 1, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of workers and the public in construction zones by controlling traffic flow and communicating with drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct emergency vehicles safely through construction zones as required.
  • Assist the Lead site traffic supervisor in maintaining a smooth flow of traffic.
  • Use standard flagging signals and devices to communicate with drivers and coordinate traffic movements.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with construction crew members, supervisors, and drivers.
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, barricades, and flashing lights.
  • Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
  • Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to flagging operations, traffic control, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and workplace safety.
  • Keep accurate records of flagging activities, incidents, and any issues encountered during shifts.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • (Preferred) Certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).
  • Proven experience working as a flagger (1-3 years)
  • Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to work in harsh weather conditions. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional observation skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
