Role Overview

Role Purpose

The RN in this ambulatory setting provides direct patient care in collaboration with healthcare providers and the care team, assessing, developing, and implementing care plans to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care. The ambulatory RN also offers guidance to clinical staff and supports providers in daily patient management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to formulate and execute care plans aimed at optimizing healthcare outcomes and promoting wellness, with regular reviews and updates per departmental protocols.
  • Utilize advanced nursing skills to assess and address patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient assessment guidelines in line with standard operating procedures and compliance regulations.
  • Assist providers in accurately documenting patient assessments and treatment protocols in accordance with compliance standards.
  • Deliver patient education and support, providing both verbal and written instructions; assess the patient's and/or family's capacity to comprehend the education provided; demonstrate problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive, requiring the ability to maintain constant alertness and operate safely.
