Kamatics Corp. Defunct is seeking a skilled Inspector IV to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. This position will perform advanced inspection activities of product, materials, first piece inspection and in-process monitoring as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of various mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerance.
- Identify defects in surface, dimensional, visual and non-conformities (material, documentation and workmanship) to blueprints and Kamatics' quality standards.
- Use a variety of conventional and advanced inspection devices, CMM tools and instruments to verify dimensions to drawing specifications.
- Maintain records, data and logs as necessary.
- Prepare products and related paperwork for presentation to customer or source inspection.
- Provide leadership/training as needed.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Make recommendations for improvements to work processes and procedures.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Min. of 2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail, problem solving, communication, reading and interpreting complex blueprints, completing Inspection Method Sheets/First Articles, customer focus, results oriented, dependability, team oriented, initiative, use precision instruments, including coordinate measuring machines, leadership, writing, documentation.
- Frequent mental and visual attention.
- Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
