Position Summary

The Floating Retail Banking Representative will perform a variety of customer account transactions and services while upholding high standards of customer satisfaction on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers and manage deposits of various types, ensuring proper endorsements.
  • Process loan payments, ensuring accuracy and collection of any applicable late fees.
  • Issue certified checks, VISA travel and gift cards, and guide customers on purchasing US Savings Bonds.
  • Handle bank-by-mail and night depository items, recording necessary information.
  • Facilitate account closures or fund transfers as requested.
  • Collect utility payments and ensure proper fund disbursement.
  • Complete necessary reports for cash transactions exceeding $10,000.
  • Count, verify, and package currency and coins.
  • Balance cash drawers and prepare teller documentation.
  • Process check cashing, savings account withdrawals, and savings bond redemptions.
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor while providing excellent customer service.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's products and services.
  • Identify opportunities to promote Bank services.
  • Participate in achieving retail sales goals alongside management.
  • Ensure adequate currency and coin levels in the cash drawer.
  • Understand procedures in the event of a robbery.
  • Maintain an organized work area and secure confidential records.
  • Utilize computer systems for account inquiries.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including currency counters and copiers.
  • Ensure teller stations are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist in processing deposits for the Bank of Botetourt Elementary Savings Program.
