Pediatrician Opportunity at Dignity Health

At Dignity Health, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate pediatrician to join our team at our Sacramento clinic. As a pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the health and well-being of the community's youngest members.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical examinations, including growth and development assessments, to diagnose and treat various pediatric conditions.
- Provide preventive care, vaccinations, and immunizations to promote overall health and prevent illnesses.
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections in pediatric patients.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and monitor patients' progress over time, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Educate parents and caretakers on child health, nutrition, safety, and other relevant topics.
- Conduct screenings for developmental delays, behavioral issues, and mental health concerns, and provide appropriate referrals and interventions.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
- Stay informed about the latest medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and pediatric research.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in pediatrics.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of California.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric diseases, treatments, and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, parents, and healthcare team members.
- Empathy and patience when working with children and their families.
- Attention to detail and ability to make accurate diagnoses based on comprehensive evaluations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine.
