Compass Group USA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food service experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring that all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff: Supervise, coordinate, and participate in the activities of cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving food.
- Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met, and that high-quality food items are prepared according to standardized recipes.
- Staff Management: Supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action.
- Inventory Management: Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product, and receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and clean workstations thoroughly before leaving the area.
- Commercial Kitchen Experience: Prior commercial kitchen experience is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures and regulations.
