Executive Chef

Compass Group USA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Oldfields School in Sparks Glencoe, MD. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
• Ensure all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action.
• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, meeting production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product.
• Receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and clean workstations thoroughly before leaving the area.

• Prior commercial kitchen experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
