Job Summary

Centerline Drivers is seeking skilled and driven telecommunications line technicians to take on leadership roles and manage their own teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit leadership and management capabilities to oversee small projects with multiple crews relying on your guidance.
  • Accept and complete tasks within the standard scope of work in a timely manner, both aerial and underground.
  • Ensure all crew documentation is accurate and submitted upon job completion.
  • Delegate tasks effectively within the crew while taking responsibility for both personal and crew actions.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work vehicle, both inside and out.
  • Support the training and advancement of junior team members.
  • Interpret design maps and operate equipment effectively.
  • Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in climbing poles and assembling necessary equipment.
  • Prepare the work vehicle with necessary supplies for daily assignments.
  • Prioritize safety for yourself and all crew members on-site.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in installing aerial copper lines and tensioning strands to specified standards.
  • Proven experience in safely transferring high-count copper cables.
  • Familiarity with pole installation and removal processes.
  • Consistent punctuality and reliability in attendance.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and compliance with random driving screenings.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Engage regularly with colleagues and clients.
  • Complete OSHA-10 Certification within 90 days of employment, funded by the company.
  • Pass a DOT Physical examination.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly lift weights up to 80 lbs from floor to overhead.
  • Engage in various physical activities, including sitting, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, lifting, crawling, squatting, and reaching in both aerial and underground settings. Exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, dust, moisture, vibration, and loud noise is expected.
