Software Development Engineer, Customer Engagement Technologies

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Customer Engagement Technologies team within Amazon's Customer Service organization.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering software solutions that empower our Customer Service Associates to provide exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with our leadership team and science and engineering teams to deliver World-Wide Self-Service Automation (SSA) products based on generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery, and support of services we build.
- Collaborate with leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, and relentlessly raise standards to enable our Customer Service Associates to have a positive impact on hundreds of millions of customers.
- Collaborate with team members to define the next generation of Amazon Customer Service in partnership with Amazon Web Services technology teams.
- Build exciting features and new services to empower our Customer Service Associates at scale.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 1+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
