Evaluate business opportunities from the sales organization and determine optimal pricing options or alternative date/property options for each. Facilitate the evaluation process to ensure a fast and accurate response to all sales leads.
The Senior Manager of Group Strategy ensures that revenue and profit are maximized by effectively calculating the displacement of other business and the price-point(s) that will make the business profitable. Serve as a sales and customer advocate for the hotel(s) on behalf of Revenue Management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide business evaluation functional expertise to market sales leaders.
- Respond to leads from Sales.
- Communicate results, achievements, and challenges to stakeholders.
- Recommend improvements to revenue management processes.
- Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels/clusters/franchise partners/owners.
- Understand and communicate the value of the brand name as it relates to franchise partnerships and revenue management opportunities.
- Promote and protect brand equity.
- Participate in quarterly regional reviews.
- Understand and accurately represent individual property sales needs.
- Develop and manage short and long-term group and catering strategy for the property.
- Drive the execution of predetermined strategies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Observe, receive, and gather information from all relevant sources.
- Work with others to gather information necessary to manage projects, achieve goals, and resolve problems.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance, and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience in revenue management, sales, and marketing, or related professional area.
- OR 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance, and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.
Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $74,000 to $97,000 annually, with an annual bonus. Additionally, employees will accrue PTO balance for every hour worked and be eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually. All locations offer coverage for medical, dental, vision, health care flexible spending account, dependent care flexible spending account, life insurance, disability insurance, accident insurance, adoption expense reimbursements, paid parental leave, educational assistance, 401(k) plan, stock purchase plan, discounts at Marriott properties, commuter benefits, employee assistance plan, and childcare discounts.
