Join Guthrie Primary Care as a Family Medicine Physician

About the Opportunity

As a Family Medicine Physician at Guthrie Primary Care, you will play a critical role in caring for our patients in your office while collaborating with Guthrie Specialists through a strong referral network. This is a full-time, outpatient-only practice with optional OB at this location. You will practice full spectrum Family Medicine seeing patients from birth to geriatrics and collaborate with peer physicians and advanced practice providers. You will build a fulfilling clinical practice within a collegial environment with supportive administration and play a key role in contributing to positive patient outcomes and our organization's success.

Work Life Balance

This is a Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. traditional schedule with the option to consider a four-day work week and flexible schedules. You will practice 36 patient-facing hours with 4 hours of dedicated administrative time. You will also receive generous Paid Time Off annually in addition to holidays and sick time. The rotating call schedule is phone call only.

Dedication to Quality Patient Care

You will have access to a robust EHR (EPIC) and easy access to Guthrie Specialists. All locations are accredited Patient Centered Medical Home under the NCQA standards. Care Coordinators (RN) are available at all locations to care for high-risk patients and provide education.

Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits

You will receive a base salary starting at $275,000 annually, a starting bonus of $100,000, and medical school loan repayment of $150,000. You will also receive full benefits including medical, dental, and disability insurance. The Guthrie Retirement Savings Plan (403B) with employer match and age-based contributions is also available. You will receive an allowance for licensure fees Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and renewals. A $10,000 referral bonus is also available if you refer a physician that we hire on a full-time basis. The salary range is $232,000-$291,000.

Career Development

You will have 14 days of meeting time with options for home study. You will also receive $3,400 annually for conference registration, certifications, membership fees for specialty-specific medical societies. Physician mentoring and leadership training opportunities are also available.

Supportive Transition

Relocation expenses up to $15,000 will be paid. Accompanying partner placement assistance is also available. Physician professional and social special interest groups are also available. A dedicated Onboarding team will ensure a successful start at Guthrie.

About the Community

Elmira is located in Chemung County, NY, just to the east of Corning. This area offers two nearby higher education institutions, Elmira College and Corning Community College. The Southern Tier Gateway to the Finger Lakes, this area provides the best of four-season activities. Elmira Corning Regional Airport offers easy access to worldwide travel.
