About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer to join our team at Sierra Space Corporation. As a key member of our Orbital Missions and Services division, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing satellite hardware and software configurations, as well as developing and testing GNC algorithms.

With a strong background in aerospace engineering and experience in leading GNC integrated product teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our small satellite programs. Your technical duties will involve the design, development, evaluation, and test of new products and software throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze satellite hardware and software configurations
  • Develop and test GNC algorithms
  • Build and test flight software
  • Create and use design tools
  • Build and analyze simulations

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI US Government security clearance
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
  • Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading GNC integrated product teams for space vehicle development
  • Experience providing technical oversight of junior engineers
  • Experience with system modeling tools, such as MATLAB/Simulink, STK
