Job Title: Publication Designer

UWorld is seeking a talented Publication Designer to join our growing illustration department. This individual will be a key contributor as we prepare brand new book materials for release. Our company is a highly collaborative, creative, and employee-centric environment that provides opportunities to artists who are passionate about creating beautiful and educational materials to teach the next generation of professionals from all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the creation, updating, and testing of files for print and digital publications.
  • Import text into Microsoft Word and InDesign templates for web and print publications.
  • Maintain consistency between digital and print versions.
  • Create vector graphics according to a style guide.
  • Analyze existing assets and content to match and innovate current style.
  • Communicate with content producers and peer reviewers on edits.
  • Collaborate with our teams to create novel ways of visualizing difficult concepts.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to ensure goals are met.
  • Help maintain an efficient and successful production process.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and assist our on-site graphic artists as needed.
  • Communicate efficiently with remote teams.
  • Attend all required meetings and provide feedback when needed.
  • Create and maintain files for digital and print distribution.
  • Aid in file maintenance and asset management.
  • Work independently or in small groups to troubleshoot and provide solutions to production issues.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital design or related work.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word.
